I'll check periodically to see if you've created an account. Please check back within 24 hours (or Monday afternoon if you've signed up during the weekend)

LF Groups for Quests
So far I've sorta skipped most of the Valiance Keep quests, and have done the Walrus-dudes quests. I've also got most(all?) of the flight points and maps for the first two zones, and half the map/fp's for a third.
Arr... care for a pint?
Up?
Is anyone else able to get onto the beta now? (Friday 9:30 pm server)
edit: I'm hanging on Vent, lemme know if the server comes up!

They might be giants to kill
I did a little bit of Howling Fjord. It's a nice little place. You can even get killed by the Lich King in one quest..
Plus there is a dungeon, Utgarde Keep, right next to the starting zone.

Mm... dungeon
We should do a dungeon. Can we at level 70? I want to try out The Beacon.

I say we kill some giants.
Utgarde Keep is supposed to the easiest. It is meant to be 70-72. You can get to Howling Fjord from Menethil Harbor. Plus it seems a little less crowded than Borean Tundra.

First boss in Utgarde Keep
I was thinking about that first boss. Seems like it requires a lot of double-duty. Tank gets tombed, secondary tank takes over. We didn't have much of secondary healing, since you guys are in tank/feral gear. (Yeah this might've been obvious, but I'm slow :) ) I saw Tweeda switching between healing and tanking and cat-ing a lot. And we didn't have a 4th to dps the tomb away... it has 1500 hp, so is possible. Problem is, one is tombed, and the other two need to tank/heal. So that fight really is a 4 person fight.
Also, am I correct in noticing that whoever is in the ice tomb gets aggro from the adds? Seems like in that case, it needs to be healed through, unless there is an aoe-r in the group (they have 2500 hp)... no idea how quickly they'd respawn though. And as far as I can tell, it isn't dispel-able.
I should also be curing the decrepify, though that was really the least of our worries.

A cat, a Death Knight and a Pally walk into an instance.
I think we did okay. We 3 manned all the trash up to the boss. It was a fun first time tanking. I learned a bunch about what to do. I guess I should make a tanking icon marking macro.
I was using a hybrid tanking spec which seemed to work pretty well. I had enough oh crap buttons but still did decent damage. The only thing is my ghoul died a lot. I got to learn to control his actions more.
With 5, I think the ice tombs will be less of a hassle. I can break it once with my human racial. And Esa can divine shield out of one. Once we learn to deal with tombs, I think the rest of the fight is alright. I can mitigate a lot of his magic damage, and if I get a DnD down for the adds, they'll stick to me pretty easily.

Glyphs
It seems glyphs for all classes are fixed now. I have mats for a bunch of glyphs. If you want some, I can switch to Kurma. The only glyphs I can't make are the ones that are 350 and above.

Fast times at Beta High
I got to 74 on Taki last night.
By the way if you have the chance you should do the Wrath Gate quest line in the Dragon Blight. The ending quests are EPIC. That is unless you don't want to spoil yourself for live.
I also made a pre-made 80 Death Knight on the Murmur server. I tried out the new BG, Strand of the Ancients, and some Lake Wintergrasp.
SotA is a interesting BG. You either start out attacking or defending a base. You have a set amount of time to either destroy or defend the base. You need to use siege weapons to break down a series of gates in order to get to the end base. After the time is up, the battle resets and you switch sides. If neither side claims a base, it ends in a draw.
Lake Wintergrasp is a little chaotic. It's kind of like AV. The place resets every hour. And you have 30 minutes to either defend or take the place. Right now, it's up to players to form a raid in order to have some organization.
